Among the foods that cost you the most, from a calorie perspective, are sweets, bread, potatoes, rice, semi-prepared or fast food products, but also fruits and oilseeds. But don't get me wrong. Even if such foods have a high & bdquocost & rdquo, this does not mean that they can not be part of a balanced diet, but you must take into account the amount you want to eat, its number of calories and time. for which they give you a feeling of satiety.

If you have the curiosity to look over the food label of a packet of hazelnuts you will notice that 100 g of salted and fried hazelnuts have only 600 calories, given that the daily caloric requirement that a woman who wants to lose weight must ensure does not exceed, in most cases, 1200 calories.

Polenta with ripe vegetables and cheese

Lotte is an extraordinarily good fish, the best I've eaten so far. In my opinion, it even beats the tone and everything else. I admit, I still have some fish to test, but so far it's my favorite. It has a white, firm flesh and a subtle fishy taste, maybe similar to lobster.

It is called lotte in French, monkfish in English and I saw that it is also sold under a Romanian name of unditzar. It's an ugly fish, extremely ugly, I've told you about it before. If you saw it and didn't know what it was about, you would probably never eat something like that. It is the best example that appearances deceive. I only ate in France, and almost a month ago I was amazed when I saw lots in Romania and even fresh. For years I peered through the freezers hoping to see at least frozen, but there was no face.

Yes, I saw lots fresh in Cora Sun Plaza, at a lower price than I expected, that is 100 lei per kilogram, when in France it costs around 35 euros per kilogram. The first time I saw only lot trunks, because only that part is consumed. The head, which sometimes means more than half the weight, is not eaten. I tell you this because then I saw, about a week later, whole batches, sold under the name of fishing rod, at the same price as the batch fillets (monkfish as sold by those from Cora): 88 lei. Yes, in the meantime the price had dropped. "Over a million kilos" is still a bit expensive for many Romanians.

The idea is this. If you encounter this situation (ie whole batches and fillets or trunks at the same price), never take whole batches, because you will throw more than half of it. I advise you to buy lot trunks or fillets. When you take trunks, you will have to clean them of the skin, that one is not eaten either, although it does not have scales.

Returning. This fish is so good that it doesn't need a lot of spices, "fireworks" and blah blah. The simpler it is prepared, the more you will enjoy its taste. So I recommend you grill it or sauté it in a little olive oil. I generally recommend these options for fish.

I grilled it. Okay, first I cleaned it of a few skins, washed it and kept it in cold water for about an hour in which I squeezed a few drops of lemon. I dried it well, greased it with a brush with a little olive oil, enough to take a "protective" film and put it on the grill, about 3 minutes on each side. It should not be left long, because it becomes dry and will have a hard, rubbery texture.

I sprinkled a little fleur de sel de Guerande on it and that was all I did for the fish. The garnish was just as simple & # 8211 vegetable skewers: mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes.

I also made a sauce from melted butter, finely chopped parsley and a few drops of lemon. And it was a very tasty Mediterranean dinner. We have enjoyed these colors for now, that until the market is filled with green spinach and red-loboda (local) we have a little to wait for :).

I like this French specialty (quiche) so much, that when I entered the asparagus season and bought the first bundle this year I didn't think much about how to cook it, I opted for quiche. How come? See.

For the filling, proceed as follows. Peel the asparagus from its thin skin, tie it with an elastic band and boil it in cold, slightly salty water in an upright position (only 4-5 cm of its length will remain outside). Since it boils, boil for another 15 minutes.

Remove the asparagus connection from the water and cut a few tips for the subsequent decoration of the tart, cut the rest into 3-4 cm pieces and let it cool.
Chop the leeks into rounds and heat them in 50 gr of butter. Let cool.

During this time we prepare the cream. Beat the 3 eggs, add ricotta, milk, sour cream, salt, pepper and mix very well, then add the chopped parsley.

At this point we should have the dough base ready. Put the hardened leek, the asparagus cut into pieces on the bottom of the crust and pour the cream cheese. Decorate with the remaining asparagus tips and put in the preheated oven (180 degrees) for 45-50 minutes.
