Season with ground pepper and salt (only if needed).

Stir, taste, sprinkle chopped dill on top and turn off the stove.

Eating pickled cucumbers with meat

A recipe for pickled cucumbers with meat from: pork, pickles, lard, onions, tomatoes in broth, thyme, salt and pepper.

Ingredient:

  • 1 kg of pork can also be smoked
  • 1 kg pickles
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 2 onions
  • 150 g tomatoes in broth
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • salt
  • pepper

Method of preparation:

Peel an onion and finely chop it, then fry it in lard. Add a little salt and when it starts to turn yellow, put the cut meat in the right pieces. Brown the meat on all sides, stirring constantly in the bowl. When it is evenly browned, pour hot water over the ingredients to cover them and let it boil over the right heat.

Wash the cucumbers so that they are not too salty, possibly you can keep them in cold water before salting. Then cut them into rounds or cubes and place them in the bowl with the meat, adding the pepper and thyme. When the meat and cucumbers have softened, add the chopped tomatoes and broth.

Let it boil for another 20 minutes and you can take the pot off the heat. This dish can also be made with mutton, mutton or lamb.


For food made from pork with pickled cucumbers, cut the meat into cubes appropriately large and somewhat equal in size. Add thyme, freshly ground pepper mixture, half the amount of wine, celery powder and sage, bay leaf and put with a little oil and a glass of water to simmer in a thick-bottomed bowl. I cut the onion into small pieces and melt it stewed with water and oil separately until it penetrates well. When it's ready, I add the tomato juice or the broth.
When the meat is penetrated, add the onion with the broth and the pickled cucumbers and let it simmer for about an hour, turning from time to time.

I put a spoonful of honey that will ennoble the taste of the slightly sour sauce, giving it a special flavor. I add salt now, if I have to add it or not as the cucumbers left. Let it boil together for about 15 minutes.
As this food is sour from wine, broth and pickles are eaten with sweet garnish such as baked peppers with sour cream and freshly ground pepper, along with a hot polenta. It is a chosen food that brings together the special taste of some pickles made with onion and tender meat.

Pork meat with pickled cucumbers is served with sour cream and chopped parsley leaves.


500-600 gr pork pulp
6-7 pickles

Cut the meat into suitable cubes, season it with salt, pepper and thyme and put it in a pan to brown a little.
Heat the onion with a little oil, add the bell pepper and then add the meat, add a little water and let it boil until the meat is almost cooked. After the meat has boiled, add the sliced ​​cucumbers, the tomato juice, season and let it boil for a few more minutes. To thicken the sauce of our food a little, we used 2 tablespoons of food starch, dissolved in a glass of cold water and we let the food boil a little more.
At the end we add the green parsley.

Our plate was full of delicious food, full of color and flavor. Serve with an equally colorful salad of baked peppers with a little garlic.
