HOW TO PREPARE THE RECIPE Spicy banana:
Cut the banana into large oblique slices. Put the brown sugar in the pan and caramelize with a few drops of orange juice and a teaspoon of unsalted butter. Add the banana slices. Turn on both sides. Then prepare the plate: draw a zig zag of caramel syrup then place the banana slices two by two, pour over them melted chocolate with chilli in a bain marie and sprinkle from place to place a strawberry jam. Good appetite my dears! double portion if I keep your belts! :)
The banana hammock is an impressive and tasty banana drink that makes good use of your favorite spiced rum. It may just be one of the best banana drinks created to date. The key to this cocktail is the homemade banana syrup, which is simply a pureed banana added to a standard simple syrup. It's fantastic and may find its way into more of your drinks.

& quotYou know when you go somewhere and eat something and wish that you could make it at home. If that happened to you in Puerto Rico, this is the place has all the stuff that you need. & quot - Mike from IL
& quotWhen we visited the Spicy Caribbee store they recommended the Herb and Sea Salt blend. It increases the flavor of every recipe we make and makes everything taste delicious. We love this spice blend so much we ordered a case of this spice as well as the Garlic and Herb blend. & Quot - Gina from WA
How are banana peppers used?
As mentioned & ndash fresh or pickled, these are terrific sandwich, salad, and pizza toppers. Stuffed banana peppers are also popular due to the relatively thick walls of this chili. It & rsquos a great alternative to the bell or poblano for stuffed pepper dishes. If you & rsquore looking for a milder alternative to a cheese-filled jalape & ntildeo popper, banana pepper poppers can be a nice alternative too. Deep-fried banana peppers are also very popular in the Southern United States. They make an excellent barbecue or fried chicken side.
And, like other chilies, banana peppers are excellent chopped for sauces and pureed for hot sauces. Of course, your end result will be very mild, but as an alternative to bell peppers in a salsa, they can add a tiny hint of heat.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Research has shown the capsaicin from chile peppers can worsen abdominal pain in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a collection of symptoms that includes abdominal pain and changes in bowel movements - which can be constipation, diarrhea or both. In fact, consumption of spicy foods in general is associated with a higher rate of IBS.
Conversely, spice may have a protective role in IBS. One study showed supplementation with red pepper pills improved IBS-related abdominal pain and bloating. Another study found supplementation with turmeric tablets, a seasoning used in some spicy foods, improved abdominal pain and IBS symptoms.
An explanation for these conflicting message may boil down to the difference between spices and spicy foods. Spices may offer benefits because they contain antioxidants and other protective plant chemicals, yet many popular spicy foods are high in fat, eaten in large quantities and paired with alcohol - other factors that can contribute to stomach pain.

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting
We’ll pair these banana cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. Cinnamon and banana are a natural pairing and ½ teaspoon of the spice is the perfect amount in this frosting recipe. (Not too much, not too little!) It’s crazy how 1 tiny addition to regular cream cheese frosting makes such a flavorful difference. Bonus: this frosting pipes beautifully using a large round tip such as Ateco 808.
For the optional garnish, we love adding a drizzle of salted caramel and a banana slice (dried or fresh!).
They’re truly perfect banana cupcakes . And if you’re not into bananas, you might enjoy these apple spice cupcakes instead.

Maple-Sweetened Banana Muffins
Meet the banana muffins of my dreams. They’re fluffy, whole grain, naturally sweetened, totally delicious banana muffins. They & # 8217re also about as healthy as muffins can be. The recipe calls for basic ingredients and you can mix them all together in one bowl. Too much to be true? Nope.

Muffins aside, can I tell you what else is exciting? I got a new camera! Can you tell? Bueller? Bueller? Well, that’s ok. I can, and I’m thrilled about it. I bought my old camera during my last year of college and it was the best investment I ever made. Eight years and 88,000 (that’s eighty-eight thousand) photographs later, it was time to upgrade.
My new camera and I are still getting acquainted. I haven’t found the best settings or figured out all the fancy-pants features just yet (anyone want video?). We’ll get there. Photographing these banana muffins was a learning experience. A very tasty learning experience.
